Brentford FC Women will be celebrating 50 years of the Greater London Women's Football League this weekend as they make their second appearance in the league’s new anniversary trophy. The Women's B Team face Sutton United Women U23 tomorrow, Friday 25 March, at Bedfont Sports Club and fans can, once again, attend the match for free.

The competition, which has been created to mark the 50th anniversary of the league, is made up of seven groups of three teams with the top eight teams progressing to the quarter finals. The Brentford FC Women’s B v Sutton United Women U23 match kicks off at 8pm at Bedfont Sports Ground with gates opening at 7pm.

Brentford will be going into the fixture high on confidence after Eshe Davies’ hat-trick earned them a 3-1 victory against South London Laces in the first trophy game. The side dominated throughout the match and will be looking to increase their points in the group again this Friday.

The teams have been in fine form of late following a 5-0 victory over Tower Hamlets in the Greater London Women’s Football League Division 1 North. The Bees are currently third in the table and five points behind the division leaders. See the full table and latest results here.

The match is free to attend on Friday and we encourage as many supporters as possible to come out and support the team.
