Marcus Forss and Saman Ghoddos have received recognition for their performances in the Carabao Cup this year. The competition came to an end last Sunday, 27 February, as Liverpool won the Final. The Team of the Tournament was announced and the Brentford pair were in it.

Liverpool lifted the trophy at Wembley Stadium last weekend. They beat Chelsea after a lengthy penalty shoot-out. Brentford reached the Quarter Final of the cup before losing to Chelsea, the second year in a row The Bees have lost of the losing finalists.

After the final, the EFL announced the official team of the tournament. This was based on WhoScored.com ratings given to players after each game. Marcus and Saman were included. See the full line-up here and below.

Marcus played in all four of Brentford's games in the tournament. He scored five goals, including four in a Third Round win over Oldham Athletic. He also contributed an assist in the win at Stoke City in the Fourth Round.

Saman started three of Brentford's four games. He came on as a substitute in the other. He contributed three assists in the win over Oldham and another in the win over Forest Green Rovers in the Second Round.
