Marcus Forss will join up with the Finland squad next week in preparation for a pair of friendlies on Spanish soil.

The Owls will get together in Murcia ahead of games against Iceland and Slovakia at the Estadio Nueva Condomina on Saturday 26 March and Tuesday 29 March.

Markku Kanerva's men missed out on qualification for this winter's FIFA World Cup in Qatar so these friendlies mark the beginning of preparations towards the 2024 European Championships.

Marcus, who is currently on loan with Sky Bet Championship side Hull City, has 11 caps to his name for his nation, scoring twice.

The 22-year-old has made seven appearances since heading to Humberside, scoring in last month's 1-1 draw against Queens Park Rangers. Prior to that he scored six goals in 12 Brentford appearances, four of which came against Oldham Athletic in September's record-breaking 7-0 EFL Cup victory.

In total, Marcus has scored 19 goals in 74 Brentford appearances, since making his debut in August 2018.
