An Ealing school made it to the later stages of a recent Premier League tournament. St Gregory's RC School represented Brentford FC in a Premier League Primary Stars event earlier this month. The team, supported by Brentford FC Community Sports Trust, reached the Semi-Finals of the tournament.

The Premier League's Primary Stars scheme provides free, flexible and easy-to-use curriculum-linked teaching resources for schools. Using the power of football, the programme offers a host of free resources to teachers and pupils to encourage youngsters to learn, be active and develop important life skills. It also helps keeps children active by putting on events.

A tournament for girls teams was held at Crystal Palace in early March. Teams from all over the region were in attendance. Our representatives narrowly missed out on making the final.

Bevan Vincent, the Trust's Primary Stars coordinator, said: "The girls represented themselves, their school and the Trust impeccably. They played some fantastic football and displayed the core values of the Premier League Primary Stars programme throughout the tournament."
