Brentford defender Kristoffer Ajer has been named in the Norway squad for two upcoming matches. Norway have two friendly internationals later this month. They face Slovakia and Armenia in Oslo and Kristoffer is in the squad.

Norway have named a 25-player group for the matches. They face Slovakia next Friday, 25 March, and then host Armenia on Tuesday 29 March. Kristoffer will be looking to add to the 25 caps he has earned so far.

Norway are building towards the next UEFA Nations League campaign. They missed out on qualification for the upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup, which will be held in Qatar at the end of the year, as they finished third in qualification Group G, behind Netherlands and Turkey, and did not make the final stages.

Norway’s Nations League campaign will start in June. They are in League B Group Four along with Sweden, Serbia and Slovenia. They are also preparing for the qualification process for the 2024 UEFA European Championships, which will be held in Germany.

Kristoffer made his first appearances for his country at Under-15 level and worked his way through the age groups. He made his full international debut before his 20th birthday and has 25 caps, two of which have been earned since he joined Brentford from Celtic in the summer. He has played 62 games for his country at all levels, scoring eight goals.
