Josh Dasilva is the latest Brentford player to receive their personalised Premier League debut ball to mark their first appearance in the top flight.

The debut ball was extra special for the 23-year-old who has battled back from a serious hip injury which kept him out for 11 months. After returning to action against Everton in the Emirates FA Cup in early February, Josh's Premier League bow came four days later away at Manchester City.

Following appearances off the bench at The Etihad and against Crystal Palace, Josh made his maiden Premier League start away at Arsenal just over five weeks ago. He has since made one further appearance, at home to Newcastle United, a red card picked up early in that game keeping him out of our last three matches.

Josh made three EFL Cup appearances for Arsenal, the club he joined as an eight-year-old, before turning down a new contract at The Emirates and moving to Brentford in August 2018. His three years with us in the Sky Bet Championship saw 103 appearances and 18 goals before that hip injury sideined him in March of 2020.

Josh is the ninth home grown debutant of ours to receive their matchball alongside David Raya, Rico Henry, Ethan Pinnock, Marcus Forss, Shandon Baptiste, Mads Bech, Charlie Goode, and Fin Stevens.

A Debut Ball, housed in a personalised, engraved case, is given to all homegrown debutants who have been developed at an Academy of a club in the English football pyramid for three years or more prior to their 21st birthday.
