Fin Stevens has gone from playing in the Isthmian League Premier Division to the Premier League in a little over 18 months and now has his own personalised debut ball to show for it. The 18-year-old was recognised for making his top flight debut against Southampton in January, coming on for the final 14 minutes at St Mary's.
Fin joined Brentford B from Worthing in July 2020 but quickly found himself involved with Thomas Frank's first-team group. The former Arsenal youngster made his First Team debut in October 2020, coming on as a second half substitute for Said Benrahma in a 3-0 win over Fulham in the Carabao Cup.
A full debut against Middlesbrough in an FA Cup Third Round tie followed last January before his Sky Bet Championship bow off the bench against Preston North End in April. The Wales Under-21 international was named in ten Premier League squads prior to making his first outing on the South Coast in January and has since been named in a further six matchday squads.
Fin is the eighth, and youngest, of our home grown debutants to receive their matchball this season, following David Raya, Rico Henry, Ethan Pinnock, Marcus Forss, Shandon Baptiste, Mads Bech, and Charlie Goode.
A Debut Ball, housed in a personalised, engraved case, is given to all homegrown debutants who have been developed at an Academy of a club in the English football pyramid for three years or more prior to their 21st birthday.
