David Raya's fine form this campaign has been rewarded with a first call-up by Spain.

The 26-year-old has been included in Luis Enrique's squad for friendlies against Albania and Iceland later this month.

The first game against Albania will be played at the Estadi Cornellà-El Prat, which overlooks the home of UE Cornellà, the club with which David began his career as a junior. That game is on Saturday 26 March, kick-off 6.45pm, with Iceland coming up at the Estadio Municipal de Riazor, A Coruña, on Tuesday 29 March, kick-off 7.45pm.

David is one of three keepers in the Spain squad alongside Brighton and Hove Albion's Robert Sanchez and Athletic Club's Unai Simon.

David has played 15 Premier League games this season, conceding just 16 goals. His clean sheet against Burnley on Saturday was his fifth of the campaign so far. In total, David has played 116 games for The Bees, keeping 39 clean sheets.

It is a busy few months coming up for Spain with six Nations League League A fixtures against Portugal, Czech Republic, and Swizerland coming up in June and September ahead of the winter's World Cup. Spain will find out their Group Stage opponents for the tournament in Qatar on 1 April.
