On World Wildlife Day, Brentford Football Club has once again joined WWF in showing our support for the #WorldWithoutNature campaign. To highlight the catastrophic decline of nature, WWF has removed the panda from its logo. Our world, just like our crest, is nothing without nature, and we’ve underlined that today by removing the bee from our badge across our social media channels.

It is the second year the campaign has been running. Brentford, along with other football clubs and organisations, took part last year. We have marked World Wildlife Day 2022 by removing our Bee from our badge again.

The WWF has reported the rich diversity of life on Earth is being lost at an alarming rate. The population sizes of mammals, birds, fish, amphibians, and reptiles have seen an alarming average drop of 68 per cent since 1970. Agricultural expansion, deforestation, overfishing, urban development, energy use, mining and pollution are all driving habitat loss, water shortages and climate change. The catastrophic impacts for people and planet loom closer than ever
