The 2021/22 season is still fresh in the memory, but the new campaign will swiftly be upon us. The Premier League 2022/23 fixtures will come out this week. They will be announced at 9am on Thursday, 16 June.

The Premier League 2022/23 season dates were confirmed towards the end of 2021. The season has been adjusted to accommodate the FIFA World Cup 2022, which will take place in the middle of the domestic calendar in Qatar. It will mean a six week break in the middle of the campaign.

The Premier League season will start on 6 August 2022. Match round 16 will be the last set of matches played over the weekend of 12-13 November. The of the call-up period for the tournament begins on Monday 14 November.

League matches will resume on Boxing Day. This will be eight days after the FIFA World Cup Final, which takes place on Sunday 18 December 2022. The final match round of the campaign will be played on 28 May 2023, when all games will kick off simultaneously as usual.

Brentford will play in the 2022/23 Premier League, our second consecutive season in the top flight. Carabao Cup dates for the upcoming campaign have also been finalised and will get underway in the week commencing 8 August. Second Round matches will be played in the week of 24 August 2022.
