Brentford Football Club are pleased to announce the signing of Max Dickov from 1 July 2022. The winger will join Neil MacFarlane’s Brentford B on a one-year contact with a Club option of an additional year.

Max, who spent a large amount of time with the young Bees on trial during the 2021/22 season, has put pen to paper on a contract with the side having featured frequently last season for the team- playing fixtures in the likes of Cyprus and Portugal as well as in matches on home soil.

His last appearance as a Trialist saw him feature for a Brentford XI who drew 0-0 with Valencia CF Mestalla in May. The Manchester-born youngster spent time with Manchester City and Oldham Athletic in previous years, but he has most recently been registered with Stockport Town, who compete in the North West Counties Football League Division One South. Last season they finished 11th after picking up 48 points from their 38 fixtures.  

On adding the 20-year-old to his ranks ahead of the 2022/23 season, Brentford B Head Coach Neil MacFarlane said: “Max is a top character who we’ve seen real improvements in during his time on trial with us. Towards the latter weeks of the season he started to get more game time and he’s proven that he’s very versatile.  “He’s a hard-working player who is effective at pressing. He’s frequently played as a wide player of a front three and he’s done well for us. He has a brilliant desire to improve himself and we look forward to working with him in the coming months.”
