Both Mathias Jensen and Christian Eriksen featured for the side with the former getting 80 minutes of action whilst Christian played the full 90 minutes.

The start of the match was delayed by 90 minutes due to a power outage in the city but once the game began, Pierre-Emile Højbjerg grabbed the opener after he got on the end of a Rasmus Kristensen cross to slot home on 28 minutes.

It took until the 67th minute for Austria to level and they did so through Xaver Schlager. Denmark went close to going back in front through Eriksen but his effort could only find the post. The winner then came six minutes from time though substitute Jens Stryger Larsen as he curled home from distance to put Denmark top of their Nations League group. The Danes have two more matches to play in this international period, both of which are at home. On Friday they host Croatia before they welcome Austria on Monday for the reverse fixture.

Tuesday will see more potential minutes for our players with Halil DerviÅŸoÄŸlu's Turkey away in Lithuania whilst Finland and Marcus Forss host Montenegro. There is also youth international action as well with Lachlan Brook in action for Australia Under-23s and Roy Syla's Albania Under-21s face England.
