The 2022/23 Premier League fixtures were released on Thursday and Brentford were handed a trip to Leicester City. The game is currently scheduled for Saturday 6 August. The Bees will then host Manchester United the following weekend for their first home match. A full list of Premier League fixtures can be seen here.

Brentford fans will, no doubt, have been plotting their way through the fixture list. While all dates are subject to change, particularly due to the broadcast schedules, the key games will be noted down. Here are some of the big ones.

Game One - Leicester City v BrentfordBrentford's season will start away from home with a trip to Leicester. The Bees lost both games 2-1 last season with Leicester scoring three of the goals of the season against us. The return game is played in March on Emirates FA Cup Sixth Round day.

Game Two - Brentford v Manchester UnitedOur first home game is against Manchester United. The Bees were beaten home and away last season, losing 3-1 in West London and 3-0 at Old Trafford. The return match is in February, on the same weekend as the Carabao Cup Final.

Game Three - Fulham v BrentfordOur first ever top flight meeting against neighbours Fulham is our third match of the campaign. The last game between the sides was a Carabao Cup match that Brentford won 3-0 and The Bees have won seven and lost just two of the last 12 meetings between the teams. One of those losses was at an empty Wembley Stadium in the 2020 Sky Bet Championship Play-Off Final. The return match is on the weekend of 4 March.

Game 12 - Brentford v ChelseaBrentford only have one scheduled midweek home match this season. This will be against Chelsea in mid-October. Two scheduled away midweek matches are at Crystal Palace at the end of August and the return match against Chelsea in late April.

Game 17 - Tottenham Hotspur v BrentfordThe Premier League season will halt for the 2022 FIFA World Cup after game 16, which is, for Brentford, a trip to Manchester City. It resumes on Boxing Day when Brentford host Tottenham Hotspur. The return match is Brentford's final away game of the campaign.

Game 38 - Brentford v Manchester CityPremier League champions Manchester City come to us on the final day of the season. The Bees lost home and away to the title winners last season. As mentioned above, the return trip is on the weekend of 12 November, just before the World Cup in Qatar.
