England will be going for 2022 UEFA European Under-19 Championships glory this week with two Brentford players in their ranks. Goalkeeper Matthew Cox and defender Daniel Oyegoke have helped England reach the last folur. They play their Semi-Final tomorrow night, Tuesday 28 June.

England have been on a roll in the tournament, in Slovakia. They won all three of their Group B games without conceding a goal. They beat Austria, Serbia and Israel to top the group.

Matthew played in England's first two games, keeping two clean sheets, and was an unused substitute in the third. Daniel started the win over Israel on Saturday night. He had come off the bench in the two previous games.

England will face Italy in the Semi-Final. Italy finished second in Group A with two wins from three. They beat Romania and Slovakia before losing to France. The other Semi-Final will see France face Israel. The Final is on Friday, 1 July.

This England group already know their journey is not at an end. In reaching the Semi-Final, they have earned a place in the FIFA Under-20 World Cup 2023. That event will be played next summer in Indonesia.
