The Brentford FC Supporters Club of Norway have named David Raya as their Player of the Season for 2021/22. David played 24 Premier League games for Brentford this season as The Bees finished 13th in the table. He kept eight clean sheets and conceded 27 goals in those matches.

We were able to welcome our Norwegian supporters to our Training Ground to present the award last month. They have been regular visitors over the years but have been unable to visit since 2019. They came to present the award to David before the end of the season.

David follows in the footsteps of Ivan Toney, who won the award last season. It comes in the year he made his international debut. David became the first Brentford goalkeeper to play international football when he represented Spain in March.

Recent winners include Ollie Watkins and Saïd Benrahma. Daniel Bentley, Ryan Woods, Clayton Donaldson and Adam Forshaw have also won the Norwegian supporters’ prize in recent years. Ivan took it home last season.
