The B Team youngster, who arrived in West London from Leatherhead in January 2021, has had an impressive first 18 months at the Club and he has now agreed to extend his stay until at least the summer of 2024.  Last season Ryan was able to regularly force himself into Neil MacFarlane’s side as he played 36 times with 22 of those appearances from the start. It was a fruitful campaign from midfield for the 19-year-old as he found the net seven times whilst making six assists for the young Bees. His debut campaign in West London in the 2020/21 season saw him score in several matches as a trialist before he went on to feature a further 12 times after putting pen to paper on a contract with Brentford.  Ryan has been in pre-season training with the B Team over the past week and could feature for the young Bees when they play their first match of the new campaign against Salisbury FC on Saturday 9 July.  Discussing Ryan’s new contract, Brentford B Head Coach Neil MacFarlane said: “We’re absolutely thrilled for Ryan. He’s thoroughly deserved a new contract because since he came through the door he has been exceptional in every way that we want.  “His work ethic is incredible, and he wants to get better by staying out and practicing every single day. Since he’s come back to us for pre-season we can see a real development within him in terms of his physique, strength and fitness. We’re really hopeful that he can have another good season with us.  “He’s grown daily and at the tail end of last season he earned a number of opportunities to train with the First Team and play for them in Brentford XI fixtures. He’s in a really good place and it’s up to us to keep pushing him on because he’s a terrific boy and we want the very best for him. When you play in the advanced areas that he does you want to be creating, assisting and scoring so he will want to continue to add to his tally and I know he will work hard to do so.”
