The Bees have been regular visitors to Boreham Wood over the past decade. We visited in pre-season in five out of six seasons up to 2018 and then again last year. Brentford won an FA Cup First Round tie at Boreham Wood in 2012 and then played friendly games in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2018. The Bees also took a side to Hertfordshire for a friendly a year ago and won 2-0.

The game is one of six that The Bees plan to play ahead of the 2022/23 Premier League season. A game against VfL Wolfsburg will be played on Saturday 23 July. The Bees will also host Real Betis Balompié on Saturday 30 July.

Brentford will be in south-west Germany for a pre-season training camp from Tuesday 12 July until Tuesday 19 July and will play VfB Stuttgart on Saturday 16 July. There will also be a game against Brighton and Hove Albion behind closed doors on Tuesday 26 July. Information on other fixtures will be announced when confirmed.
