There could be lots of game time in store for our players over the course of the weekend with fixtures continuing in the Football League and abroad.
Starting on foreign shores, Lachlan Brook will be looking for more minutes for Adelaide United when they travel to Newcastle Jets on Sunday. The side beat Brisbane Roar last time out and are fifth in the league table on 11 points after nine games.
In Spain, Joel Valencia could be in action on Sunday as his side travel to Leganes. Joel will be aiming to get more minutes following his debut for Agrupación Deportiva Alcorcón. The side are currently bottom of the second tier in Spain and are in need of points ahead of Sunday’s game.
Halil Dervişoğlu’s Galatasaray are without a league game this weekend but they have a friendly fixture scheduled on Friday with Tuzlaspor. The Turkish giants will be aiming to turn their form around when they return to league games having lost their last five matches.
In England, Dom Thompson could get his first taste of action for Ipswich Town away from home when they take on Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday. The defender joined Town on loan on Thursday 27 January, and he will be aiming to help the side climb higher in the table than their current eighth place.
As for AFC Wimbledon, Aaron Pressley missed their midweek defeat at home to Ipswich as Wes Burns scored two goals in the second half to take all three points back to Portman Road. The Dons are 20th in League One and they face Shrewsbury Town at home this weekend.
