There was a first appearance for Lachlan Brook since returning to Adelaide United on loan at the weekend as they drew 2-2 with Melbourne City.
The Australian recently made the temporary switch back to his hometown club in order to gain first team minutes and he was able to play the final 30 in the draw at Coopers Stadium. Melbourne took the lead on 24 minutes and were ahead at the break but United hit back on the hour with a goal from George Blackwood. City went ahead again shortly after before a late equaliser from Hiroshi Ibusuki ensured the points were shared. The result leaves United in seventh in the league table and their next scheduled game is a trip to Brisbane Roar on 23 January.
There was 58 minutes of game time for Halil Dervişoğlu in Galatasaray’s 4-2 defeat away at Hatayspor. The side actually went ahead on 23 minutes through Emre Kılınç before the hosts levelled on 43 minutes. Stoppage time in the first period saw Galatasaray get back in front through Muhammed Kerem Aktürkoğlu. It was then a second half to forget for Galatasaray as they conceded three goals to fall to defeat. The side are 13th in the Turkish Super Lig following that result having now suffered back to back league defeats.
As for AFC Wimbledon, Aaron Pressley is still recovering from injury therefore he missed the 0-0 draw with Morecambe at Plough Lane. The side currently sit 20th in Sky Bet League One.
