The 20-year-old has been a key member of Neil MacFarlane’s B Team since 2019 and he departs West London having played 65 times for the side. The winger, who also spent time with Grimsby Town in Sky Bet League Two during the 2020/21 season, was on the scoresheet 18 times for the young Bees in total as he now prepares for the next step in his career.

Joe, who joined the B Team from Bury in the summer of 2019, claimed Goal of the Season for Brentford B during the 2020/21 campaign for his stunning solo effort against Swindon Town at the County Ground in August 2020. The Wales Under-21 international will now link up with the Irish side, who also acquired the services of Goalkeeper Nathan Shepperd recently.

Dundalk get their new season under way on 18 February when they take on Derry City FC at Oriel Park. Last season they finished sixth in the league table and also took part in the European Conference League Qualifying Round.

Discussing Joe’s departure to Dundalk, Brentford B Head Coach Neil MacFarlane said: “Joe has been terrific for us since he joined. As I have said, it’s not always possible for every player to break into the First Team group, and for Joe it’s the right time for him to step out and further his career. He’ll be joining a really good club alongside Nathan Shepperd who has recently made the move over to Ireland.

“He’s brought a lot of versatility to our group since he’s been with us as we’ve been able to deploy him through the middle as well as at wing back, where he plays for his country in games where he’s done really well. He’s also played as part of a front three for us and his fitness also makes him a very effective player. We wish Joe all the best and we believe he can go on to have a really good career."
