Loan Round-Up: Minutes for Marcus as Hull City draw with Sheffield United

The latest details on our loan players

17 February 2022

Brentford forward Marcus Forss featured for Hull City in their 0-0 draw away from home at Sheffield United earlier this week.

Marcus, who joined Hull on a loan deal until the end of the season on January’s Deadline Day, featured for 56 minutes as they put in a determined display to take a point away from Bramall Lane. The side will now look to another away fixture as they travel to Queens Park Rangers this weekend and they currently sit 20th in the Sky Bet Championship.

Charlie Goode was part of the match day squad for United on the night but he was an unused substitute as the goalless draw leaves The Blades in eighth place and they host Swansea City this weekend.

Other midweek actions saw Bromley beaten at home by high-flying Stockport County in the National League. Ellery Balcombe wasn’t part of the match day squad for the fixture as the side now look to their match away at Kings Lynn Town on Saturday.

In Sky Bet League One there was no game for Dom Thompson’s Ipswich Town so they’ll have had a full week to prepare for Saturday’s match at home to Burton Albion. AFC Wimbledon are also looking ahead to their match away at Bolton on Saturday. Aaron Pressley is still on his way back from injury and will look to be involved with the side in the coming weeks. The Dons currently sit 20th in the division.

Looking at action abroad, Adelaide United played earlier this week when they picked up an impressive win away from home against Melbourne City. The side came from behind to claim the points as Javi Lopez cancelled out an early Melbourne strike. The winner then came from Mohamed Toure five minutes from time and United sit third in the league table. Brentford B’s Lachlan Brook wasn’t involved in the game.

Halil Dervişoğlu’s Galatasaray return to action on Monday as Galatasaray face Göztepe away from home. The Turkish giants will be aiming to climb higher up the table than their current 13th place in the Turkish Super Lig.

Mads Bidstrup will be looking to get his first taste of competitive game time for FC Nordsjælland this weekend as they return to league action and they will face third place Brøndby IF. Nordsjælland are 10th in the table and will be aiming to get off to a good start as their campaign resumes. Luka Racic will also be aiming for more game time for HB Køge as the side play another friendly, this time against Lyngby on Saturday.

Joel Valencia could be in action for AD Alcorcón on Sunday as his side face Fuenlabrada and they still sit at the bottom of the Spanish second tier.
