Today is the third of five straight days with Premier League matches but it marks an important milestone for Fantasy Premier League managers. Gameweek 27 will start this evening, Friday 25 February, when Southampton face Norwich City. Gameweek 26 ended last night when Arsenal beat Wolverhampton Wanderers.

FPL bosses will be selecting their teams for the upcoming matches today. As usual, the Premier League website contains a series of tips for FPL managers. This week, Christian Eriksen has been highlighted as a player that could make a difference.

In a piece here, The Scout - who writes about Fantasy Premier League for the Premier League - has suggested Christian is a man to look at. The piece names some players that are not owned by many managers and could help you climb your mini league. Christian is on that list.

"Eriksen is pushing for his first league outing for Brentford after stepping up his fitness in a behind-closed-doors friendly earlier this week," he wrote. "Eriksen supplied both assists in The Bees’ 2-2 draw with Rangers on Monday. His delivery at free-kicks and corners could prove crucial against Newcastle United. Brentford have recorded 99 shots from such situations, the third-most this season."

Brentford signed Christian at the end of January. He has not played competitively since last June, when he had a cardiac arrest on the pitch playing for Denmark. He has played two behind closed doors friendly matches and may make his Brentford debut against Newcastle tomorrow, Saturday 26 February.

Fantasy Premier League enables you to create and join up to 20 private leagues with friends. You can play in classic leagues, with total points deciding the rankings, or take part in head-to-head leagues, where managers duel each Gameweek, earning three points for a win and one for a draw.
