Brentford FC Women will be continuing their quest for cup glory this weekend as they make their quarter final appearance in the Greater London Women's Football League’s new anniversary trophy. The Women's B Team face Camden Town Blues on Sunday, 24 April, at Bedfont Sports Club. Fans can attend the match for free.
The competition, which has been created to mark the 50th anniversary of the league, has seen the Women’s B Team progress from the group stage to take on the top eight teams in the quarter finals. The match kicks off at 2:30pm at Bedfont Sports Ground with gates opening at 1.30pm.
Last time out Brentford topped Group Four by beating Southend United 1-0. Eshe Davies was once again in amongst the action as Brentford forced Camden Town into an error as they scored an own goal to give Brentford the led. The side were dominant throughout the match with Assistant Coach Tommy Ryan-Maynard saying it was “the best performance we’ve had”.
