Primary Stars recognises World Earth Day

Schools given ways to help support environmental protection

25 April 2022

The Premier League's Primary Stars programme helped schools mark World Earth Day last week. World Earth Day 2022 was marked last Friday, 22 April. It is an annual event to demonstrate support for environmental protection and was first held on April 22 1970. The Earth Day 2022 theme was Invest in Our Planet and was celebrated a few days ago.

The Premier League's Primary Stars scheme provides free, flexible and easy-to-use curriculum-linked teaching resources for schools. Using the power of football, the programme offers a host of free resources to teachers and pupils to encourage youngsters to learn, be active and develop important life skills. Primary Stars supports with PE lessons as well as academic subjects and last week offered ways for schools to support World Earth Day.

Not only does Primary Stars help with education resources, it also offers advice on how to help young people in other ways. World Earth Day resources encouraged children to be kinder to each other and the planet. See more here and below.
