Loan Round-Up: Midweek minutes for Ellery in the National League ahead of this weekend's fixtures

There was midweek minutes for Ellery Balcombe and Bromley as he featured in a 1-0 defeat way from home at King’s Lynn Town.

The side went down to a goal from Theo Widdrington and Ellery also made a smart save late in the game to deny a King’s Lynn second as Bromley were unable to get themselves back into the match. They will look to get back to winning ways when they face Dagenham & Redbridge at home on Saturday with the side currently 10th in the league table.

Other midweek action saw Sheffield United beat Queens Park Rangers to climb back into the Play-Off places in the Sky Bet Championship. Ollie Norwood netted the only goal of the game on nine minutes. Charlie Goode wasn’t involved on the night for The Blades. In the same division, Marcus Forss’ Hull City will face Middlesbrough away from home this weekend.

Looking ahead to more upcoming fixtures, Dom Thompson’s Ipswich Town will be looking to get back to winning ways when they face Shrewsbury Town in Sky Bet League One.

On foreign soil, there is more action for Lachlan Brook and Adelaide United today against Macarthur, whilst in Turkey Halil Dervişoğlu will be aiming for minutes for Galatasaray as they face Fenerbahçe S.K. on Sunday looking to climb further than their 13th in the table.

Looking to Denmark, Mads Bidstrup’s FC Nordsjælland will be looking to get back to winning ways following their defeat to OB last time out. They face AGF this Sunday looking for more points in the Danish Superliga.

In the Danish First Division, HB Køge will be looking to build on their 3-0 win last time out when they face Hobro later today and Luka Racic will be searching for more minutes. Finally in Spain, Joel Valencia’s AD Alcorcón are at home to Sporting Gijon on Saturday and they will be aiming to make it back to back wins.
