There was a return to winning ways for Adelaide United at the weekend as Lachlan Brook helped the side to a 1-0 win over Macarthur.

There was a point for Joel Valencia's AD Alcorcón in Spain as he started and played 70 minutes in a 1-1 draw with Sporting de Gijón. Joel's team went ahead on two minutes through Giovanni Zarfino but Victor Campuzano levelled just after the hour. AD Alcorcón are away at FC Cartagena on Saturday and they remain bottom of the second tier in Spain.
Meanwhile, Turkish giants Galatasaray faced Fenerbahçe S.K. away from home where they were beaten 2-0. Goals from Miha Zajc and Serdar Dursun gave them the win to leave Galatasaray 14th in the table. Halil Dervişoğlu played the final 16 minutes but was unable to help them to any points on the road.
Looking back to the UK, Dom Thompson's Ipswich Town were held to a 1-1 draw by Shrewsbury Town away from home. James Norwood put the side ahead on six minutes to lead for most of the match. Paul McCallum and Junior Morias scored the goals in the second-half for the away side as Bromley will aim to bounce back against Eastleigh on Friday. In the Sky Bet Championship, Marcus Forss was an unused substitute for Hull City in their 1-0 win away at Middlesbrough, whilst Charlie Goode wasn't involved for Sheffield United in their 0-0 draw with Bournemouth.
