The young Bees will be looking to build on two successive wins having confirmed victories over Queens Park Rangers B and Hampton & Richmond Borough.

Neil MacFarlane's thoughts

Discussing the test at Charlton, Brentford B Head Coach Neil MacFarlane said: “We’ve been there (to Charlton) a couple of times recently and had some positive results. It’s a derby game so it will be intense and they will be looking to make amends after the previous games.

“It’s similar to the Queens Park Rangers game and we’ve got to go there with that mindset to try and perform first and foremost to get a positive result.”

The Opponents

Charlton Under-23s compete in the Professional Development League South and currently sit fourth in the league table after four games. Their last match was in the London Senior Cup where they were beaten 3-2 by Erith and Belvedere.

Last time we met

It was a Brentford win last time out as the young Bees travelled to Sparrows Lane to take on a Charlton XI. Charlie Goode and Emiliano Marcondes turned out for Neil MacFarlane’s side that day as Brentford won 2-0 with goals from Aaron Pressley and Wraynel Hercules.

Team News

The young Bees will have a strong selection choice with no real new injury concerns within the group apart from Gustav Mogensen who remains sidelined.
