Mads Bidstrup made his Denmark Under-21 debut on Friday in Denmark’s 1-1 friendly draw against Greece in Gladsaxe.
Denmark took the lead inside seven minutes. Greece gave the ball away in midfield and a rapid counter attack ended with FC Midtjylland striker Gustav Isaksen curling home from a tight angle. 20-year-old Mads was introduced at half-time for his Danish Under-21 debut, having featured 22 times previously between Under-16 and Under-19 level. The Greece equaliser came 11 minutes into the second half, Fotis Ioannidis sliding home from close range.
Under-21 European Championship Qualifying action is up next for Denmark as they head to the Astana Arena to take on Kazakhstan on Tuesday afternoon.
There’s plenty of World Cup Qualifying action on the way later today with Kristoffer Ajer, Halil Dervişoğlu, Mathias Jensen, Christian Nørgaard, and Marcus Forss all set to be involved with their nations.
