When Brentford FC Women First Team took on Watford Ladies FC last week, they had some special gusts. Particpants from some of Brentford FC Community Sports Trust's girls-only community engagement programmes had the opportunity to become mascots walking out with the team before kick-off. They were then invited back on to the pitch at half-time to take part in a penalty shoot-out.

The mascots were the stars of the show at half-time, with far more penalties scored than not. It was also a good day for the team they supported as The Bees won 3-1. See the report here.

Amber Lloyd Brentford’s centre back and one of our senior coach’s at the Trust said: "Coaching these girls on a weekly basis makes me so proud. I am so glad they were able to come down, watch and be involved in the win! Moments like this, seeing their smiles and hearing them cheer makes all the long stressful days worthwhile."
