Brentford Football Club are pleased to announce the signing of Roy Syla who will join up with Neil MacFarlane’s Brentford B.

The 21 year-old midfielder, who has spent a sustained period on trial with the young Bees, put pen to paper on a one-year contract with the option of a further year and he will add further competition for places to the B Team ranks.

Roy began his career with Barnet, rising through the ranks before signing his first professional contract at the age of 17 in March 2018. He also had a loan stint with Hampton & Richmond Borough.

As an Under-17 he was also called up to the Albania national team before then going on to turn out for the Under-19 and Under-20 side.

He linked up with Neil MacFarlane’s side last season for a trial period and the central midfielder has also been involved with the young Bees as a Trialist for some of their fixtures this season.

Discussing Roy’s signing with the side, Brentford B Head Coach Neil MacFarlane said: “Roy has been exceptional since he came into the building. He's worked tirelessly to earn his contract and his attitude, along with the rest of the group, has been fantastic.

"He's had some good experiences and he'll add to the culture by driving standards every single day. We want that drive to improve and he definitely brings that."
