Brentford will be looking to get back to winning ways in the Premier League when they return to action next week. The Bees will host Norwich City in their next fixture. The match will be played at our new stadium next Saturday, 6 November, and will kick-off at 3pm.

The Bees were beaten 3-1 by Burnley yesterday. That came on the back of a Carabao Cup win away to Stoke City but followed league defeats at home to Leicester City and Chelsea. The loss leaves Brentford 12th in the table and in a group of 13 sides separated by just seven points from fifth to 17th.

Norwich come in to the game on the back of a 2-1 home defeat to Leeds United earlier this afternoon. The Norfolk side responded after conceding the first goal but Leeds struck the winner as the third goal in four minutes. That was enough to give them the win.

That defeat leaves Norwich bottom of the Premier League. They have earned two points from their ten games to date but did earn one of them away from home, at Burnley. They have lost their other four away games, to Manchester City, Arsenal, Everton and Chelsea.

Norwich, like The Bees, were promoted from the Championship last term. Norwich won the Championship title, finishing ten points ahead of The Bees. They also had the better of the matches between the teams last season, earning a point in West London and winning the return match in East Anglia. That was the third season in a row Norwich have changed divisions, winning promotion in 2018/19 before immediate relegation a year later.

Those results continued Norwich's good recent run against Brentford, particularly in West London. The Bees have won just one of the last nine meetings in all competitions and two of the last 13. Those wins came in Norfolk and Norwich have not lost away to Brentford in the last six trips, going back to 2009.
