Brentford took a break from their Premier League programme to book a place in the Carabao Cup Quarter Finals last night. The Bees beat Stoke City 2-1 with goals from Sergi Canós and Ivan Toney and will play a last eight tie in December. They return to Premier League action on Saturday, 30 November, with a trip to Burnley for a match that will kick-off at 3pm.

Brentford will go in to the match on the back of successive Premier League defeats. The Bees lost to Leicester City last Sunday and Chelsea earlier this month, despite having chances to have taken points. That leaves Brentford 12th in the table with 12 points from nine games.

Brentford have taken the majority of those points away from home. There have been wins over West Ham United and Wolverhampton Wanderers along with draws against Crystal Palace and Aston Villa. The win at Stoke last night means Brentford are still unbeaten on the road this season.

Burnley come in to the game on the back of a 2-2 draw with Southampton last weekend. That was their fourth point in nine games this season and left them 18th in the table. They exited the Carabao Cup last night with a defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.

Burnley have taken two of those four points at home with draws against Leeds United and Norwich City. They have lost on their own patch to Brighton and Hove Albion and Arsenal and are three points behind Leeds, who sit just outside the relegation zone. The Clarets have also beaten Rochdale at home in the Carabao Cup.

This is Burnley's sixth successive Premier League season. They won promotion in 2015/16 and have had two top ten finishes in the last five years. They finished 17th last year with 39 points, their lowest since promotion.

That 2015/16 campaign was the last time the teams met. The Bees lost 1-0 at Turf Moor early in the season and then 3-1 at Griffin Park in January. Brentford last beat Burnley in September 1997 and have not won in six since, losing the last four in a row, including an FA Cup tie in 2003.

Tickets are still available for this fixture for fans that can make the trip. They will go off sale at 5 pm today, Thursday 28 October. Full ticket information can be seen here.

The match will not be live on UK TV but Brentford fans can listen live on Bees Player. Full information on the service can be seen here. Bees fans living overseas should check this page to see if they can watch the game live.
