There was a game for Patrik Gunnarsson’s Viking FK on Thursday but the goalkeeper remained on the bench for their 2-0 win over Brann. Sebastian Sebulonsen and Kevin Kabran grabbed the goals on the day. They will now take on Sarpsborg 08 on Sunday and sit third in the table.

Galatasaray were last in action on Monday and were beaten by Beşiktaş 2-1. Halil Dervişoğlu was a substitute on 64 minutes for the side. Galatasaray went ahead through Alexandru Cicâldău before Cyle Larin netted twice to earn Beşiktaş the win. They'll take on Gaziantep on Sunday and sit eighth in the table.

In the Football League AFC Wimbledon did have a game but Aaron Pressley missed the Papa John’s trophy fixture as a young Dons side fell to a 2-0 defeat against Crystal Palace Under-21s. Palace won the match with goals from Jeurun Rak-Sakyi and Rob Street. Aaron will look to return to action when they travel to Cambridge at the weekend in the league.

Ellery Balcombe’s Burton Albion were without a midweek fixture and they are in preparation for a trip to Wigan Athletic as they look to climb higher than their eighth place position.

In Sky Bet League Two Alex Gilbert will be looking for more minutes in a Swindon Town shirt as they travel to Oldham Athletic on Saturday. They are currently seventh in the table as they take on the side who occupy 21st.

In Scotland Jaakko Oksanen will be aiming to build minutes once again for Greenock Morton as they host Hamilton Academical. The side are ninth in the league table at the moment having played 11 games so far.
