Ellery was part of the Burton Albion squad that made the trip to Plymouth Argyle in Sky Bet League One. The 21-year-old was named on the bench as Argyle took a two-goal lead into the break; Conor Grant and Ryan Broom the scorers. Lucas Akins pulled one back on the hour but Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink's side couldn't find a leveller as they fell to a fourth defeat of the campaign.

The Brewers are currently tenth in the third tier, three points outside the Play-Offs and seven points off Plymouth who moved top of the table with the victory.

Burton are next in action on Friday night at home to Morecambe.
