The youngster, who is currently on loan with Greenock Morton in the Scottish Championship, has been getting significant game time in recent weeks and he will head to meet up with his national team ahead of important fixtures.

First they’ll head to Azerbaijan on 8 October before their second fixture, which will be played on home soil, against Austria on 12 October.

Their first matches of qualifying have seen mixed results having beaten Estonia 3-0 away from home before falling to a 1-0 defeat at home to Croatia as they sit fourth in their group.

Jaakko has been involved within the Finland youth setup a number of times, most recently back in June and he has worn the captain’s armband for the side. He has turned out 13 times before for the Under-21 group.
