There are just a few days until the Premier League returns and eyes are turning to upcoming fixtures. With two weeks between games there was a chance for Premier League players not selected for international football to rest and recover. But it is not just players and clubs that used the period set aside for international matches, Fantasy Premier League managers had a chance to assess their squads and the experts have suggested FPL managers should be looking at Brentford.

The FPL season, like the Premier League season, is seven weeks old. Players that are out-performing expectations have been identified by regular players and the way teams are setting up is having an effect. The Premier League's FPL experts are using this break to suggest changes that FPL managers can make and have identified Ivan Toney as one to pick.

In a piece here, The Scout - who writes about Fantasy Premier League for the Premier League - has suggested Ivan is a man to look at. The piece names the best options for managers who are picking a new squad over this fortnight. And Ivan is on the list.

"The Brentford striker's form has improved recently, with both his goals and his two assists this season coming in the last five Gameweeks," wrote The Scout. "He has already scored twice in a 1-1 draw at Aston Villa and a 2-0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers. The Bees' talisman was the top scorer in last season's Championship, producing 31 goals and 10 assists. At a cost of just £6.3m, Toney's all-round attacking potential can provide a major source of value for the coming matches."

FPL is live with the season underway and managers can make changes to their squad ahead every week. For the first time ever, you can put Brentford players in it. You can play in classic leagues, with total points deciding the rankings, or take part in head-to-head leagues, where managers duel each Gameweek, earning three points for a win and one for a draw.
