Denmark's goals all came in a 21 minute spell leading up to half-time; Andreas Skov Olsen got the first at the mid-point of the half before Simon Kjaer made it 2-0 from the penalty spot. Christian then got himself on the scoresheet as he turned home Skov Olsen’s corner at the back post. Joakim Maehle completed the scoring a minute before the interval as Denmark made it scored 26, conceded 0 in Group F.

Mathias Jensen came on for the final half-hour to win his 14th international cap while Christian played the full 90 on his 13th international appearance. Christian and Mathias now have an international goal each to their name, both coming against Moldova in this World Cup Qualifying campaign.

Scotland’s late win over Israel means The Danes need just three more points from their remaining three qualifiers to guarantee a spot in next winter’s World Cup. They have a chance to do just that on Tuesday when they welcome Austria to Parken.

At Under-19 level, Daniel Oyegoke played the opening 45 minutes on Saturday as England came from behind to beat Mexico in Marbella. Fidel Ambriz gave Mexico a ninth minute lead but the Young Lions came roaring back after the break. Aston Villa’s Aaron Ramsey, who replaced Daniel at half-time, levelled seven minutes into the half with an own-goal and Harvey Vale’s effort securing the win in the final 15 minutes. Ian Foster’s side finish their week in Spain on Tuesday with a game against Belgium.
