With no Premier League matches this weekend, there is a chance for players not selected for international football to rest and recover. But it is not just players and clubs that will be using the period set aside for international matches, Fantasy Premier League managers will also be using the window to assess their squads. And the experts have suggested FPL managers should be looking at Brentford.

The FPL season, like the Premier League season, is seven weeks old. Players that are out-performing expectations have been identified by regular players and injuries are having an effect. The Premier League's FPL experts are using this break to suggest changes that FPL managers can make and have identified Ethan Pinnock as a player to pick.

In a piece here, The Scout - who writes about Fantasy Premier League for the Premier League - has suggested Ethan as a defender to look at. The piece names the best options for managers who are picking a new squad over this fortnight. And Ethan is on the list.

"Pinnock and his fellow Brentford centre-back Pontus Jansson rank joint-top among all players for value in Fantasy this season," said The Scout. "Both have returned 8.3 points per million (ppm), totalling 38 points each. Pinnock has combined a goal and an assist with three clean sheets and four bonus points. His appeal as Brentford's go-to defender is further enhanced by the underlying numbers. He has produced four shots in the box to the two of Jansson."

FPL is live with the season underway and managers can make changes to their squad ahead every week. For the first time ever, you can put Brentford players in it. You can play in classic leagues, with total points deciding the rankings, or take part in head-to-head leagues, where managers duel each Gameweek, earning three points for a win and one for a draw.
