18 October 2021

The Premier League has announced the details of fixture amendments from the start of December until the first days of January. The Premier League's partner broadcasters have confirmed the games they want to show live over the period, which includes the Christmas schedule, and other matches have been shifted to accomodate the coverage. Brentford's match schedule for the period has been confirmed.

Our match away to Tottenham Hotspur will take place on Thursday 2 December. It will kick-off at 7.30pm and will be live on Amazon Prime Video.

Our game away to Leeds United will now take place on Sunday 5 December. This has been moved to give sufficient rest after our London derby at Tottenham. The game will not be live on UK TV and will kick-off at 2pm.

The Brentford v Watford fixture has been chosen for live broadcast by Sky Sports. This will now be played on Friday 10 December. It will kick-off at 8pm.

Our home match against Manchester United will be played on Tuesday 14 December. The kick-off time has been brought forward slightly to 7.30pm. The game has been selected for live broadcast by BT Sport.

The Southampton v Brentford fixture will remain at 3pm on Saturday 18 December. This is our last Premier League game before Christmas and will not be broadcast live on UK TV. There may, however, be a Carabao Cup tie in the days before Christmas if we beat Stoke City next week.

Our Boxing Day game away to Brighton and Hove Albion has also been selected by Sky Sports for live coverage. This game will now take place at 8pm on 26 December.

The final game of a memorable 2021 will see us welcome Manchester City to our new stadium. This game will now take place on Wednesday 29 December. It will kick-off at 8.15pm and will be live on Amazon Prime Video.

Our 2022 will start with a match against Aston Villa. This game has been selected for live coverage by Sky Sports as part of the first Super Sunday of the year. The game will now be played on Sunday 2 January and will kick-off at 2pm.

Fixtures for the rest of January will be confirmed in due course. Bees fans are reminded that the Semi-Finals of the Carabao Cup will be played at the start of the month. The First Leg of the Semi-Final will be played in the week commencing 3 January and the Second Legs will be played a week later. The Third Round of the Emitrates FA Cup, which will definitely feature Brentford, will be played on the weekend of Saturday 8 January.
