Saman Ghoddos will join up with his IR Iran teammates this week for another pair of 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.
Team Melli are currently top of Group A of AFC Qualifying with ten points from their opening four games. They sit two points clear of South Korea and five ahead of Lebanon in third.
And it is to Lebanon that IR Iran go on Thursday, 11 November, for a game at the Saida Municipal Stadium, Sidon, kick-off 12 noon. It is then on to the King Abdullah Sports City, Jeddah, to face bottom-of-the-table Syria on Tuesday 16 November, kick-off 4pm.
The top two sides in each group qualify automatically for next winter's World Cup in Qatar with the sides in third heading into the intercontinental Play-Offs.
Saman has featured in six of Iran's World Cup Qualifiers this campaign, contributing two assists. In total, he has now played 28 times for his nation with two goals.
The 28-year-old has made nine appearances for Brentford so far this season, six of those coming in the Premier League. Saman scored his first top flight goal eight days ago against Burnley and set up Rico Henry for our goal against Norwich City yesterday. In the Carabao Cup, Saman has three assists in three starts, helping set up next month's Quarter-Final against Chelsea.
