Four goals from Nathan Young-Coombes, two strikes from Dom Jefferies as well as finishes from Val Adedokun, Daniel Oyegoke, Myles Peart-Harris, Ryan Trevitt and Jan Žambůrek gave Neil MacFarlane’s side a resounding win in a fixture they dominated right from the off.

The young Bees had the likes of Peart-Harris and Žambůrek to choose from whilst Oyegoke, Adedokun and Nathan Shepperd returned to the starting XI after missing the tour in Cyprus due to international duty. A freshness about the B Team was evident from the off as it took them just four minutes to go ahead. Roy Syla provided the ball over the top into the path of Jefferies, and after sorting out his feet, the Welshman struck well to make it 1-0 on four minutes.

Just a couple of minutes later Young-Coombes got his first of the evening as a bit of a mix up between the Broadfields keeper and his defence allowed the striker in and he dribbled the ball into an empty net on six minutes.

Jefferies had his second and Brentford’s third on eight minutes as Peart-Harris provided the assist for the midfielder to strike in from close range in what was a breathtaking start for the young Bees. It was then 4-0 on 11 minutes as Adedokun grabbed his first for the Club when Syla crossed low from the right-hand side. The winger appeared unmarked in the box to slot home first time to announce his return to the fold after being away with Republic of Ireland Under-19s.

Brentford B continued to dominate throughout the half as Jefferies was causing more problems for the United back line as he found space to latch onto a Tristan Crama cross but his effort was well blocked. Connor Spinks tested Shepperd for the first time on 28 minutes as he worked some space but it was a fairly routine stop for the Welshman as the young Bees then went in search of more goals.

It was 5-0 on 32 minutes when Young-Coombes grabbed another, and it came through the unselfish Lewis Gordon as the dynamic defender went on one of his tricky runs before breaking into the box, and though he could perhaps have shot, he opted to tee up the forward who found the net once again.

Oyegoke then got his first goal as he popped up on the left-hand side before firing home with a low finish into the bottom corner before the final goal of the half came courtesy of Young-Coombes as a cross from the right was glanced towards the far corner and it outwitted the keeper and ended up in the net as the group took a 7-0 lead into the break.

With a significant lead, Neil MacFarlane opted to use all three of his substitutes at the break with Wraynel Hercules and Trevitt entering the field alongside a Trialist, whilst the likes of Oyegoke, Luka Racic and Adedokun were replaced.

It took just five minutes for the score to become 8-0 when Žambůrek did well down the left before working himself some space and crossing to the far post for Peart-Harris, who was unmarked as he headed in from close range to grab his second in two games after netting against Luton Town in his last appearance during the international break.

More chances continued to fall for Brentford as Jefferies was afforded the chance to secure his hat-trick from the penalty spot after Young-Coombes was brought down in the area. The Welshman stepped up and saw his powerful effort well saved and he was unable to convert the rebound as the score remained at 8-0.

With 20 minutes to go, substitute Trevitt managed to find the net as he was given too much space in the box before he shifted the ball onto his left foot before curling into the far corner. A fourth goal came for Young-Coombes six minutes from time before Žambůrek grabbed the eleventh, and final, goal of the match when he finished in the last minute to help the side to a win with an incredible score line.
