Ellery Balcombe was the only one of our loan players in action this weekend, his Burton Albion side losing 1-0 at home to Charlton Athletic in a fiesty affair.
The only goal came courtesy of Ben Purrington's close range header after 20 minutes. Both sides were already down to ten men by that stage; an off the ball incident ending Jayden Stockley and Deji Oshilaja's afternoons early.
The defeat drops Burton to 13th, with 22 points from 17 matches in Sky Bet League One. Ellery's three appearances for The Brewers have all come in this season's EFL Trophy, the 22-year-old an unused substitute in Burton's other league and cup matches so far this term.
Next up for Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink's side is a league trip to MK Dons on Saturday.
Our other loanees also return to action following the international break this weekend.
In the third tier, Aaron Pressley and AFC Wimbledon travel to Portsmouth while the Sky Bet League Two action sees Alex Gilbert's Swindon Town make the journey to Newport County.
Jaakko Oksanen and Greenock Morton visit Raith Rovers in the Scottish Championship. Further afield, Viking FK and Patrik Gunnarsson host Haugesund while there's a huge game in store for Halil Dervişoğlu as Galatasaray take on fierce rivals Fenerbahçe.
