This is Darren England's second season as one of the Select Group 1 of Premier League referees, having spent many years in the professional game as a linesman, including running the line for the 2015 FA Cup Final between Aston Villa and Arsenal.

We've only lost once in England's nine previous matches in charge, all but two of which have come in the Sky Bet Championship.

There was a 3-0 victory over Bolton Wanderers and a 3-3 draw with Sunderland during the 2017/18 season and a 2-0 success over Wigan Athletic in September 2018 before a win, at home to Preston North End, a draw, at home to Hull City, and a loss, away at Luton Town, during the 2019/20 campaign.

Last season's first outing came in the Carabao Cup Third Round against West Bromwich Albion. England awarded three spot kicks in regulation time, one for us and two for The Baggies, as we went on to win 5-4 on penalties following a 2-2 draw. He then took charge of April's 1-1 draw at home to Cardiff City which saw The Bluebirds net from the spot.

This season's one outing came on the road at Molineux in September. England awarding us a first-half penalty before sending off Shandon Baptiste in a 2-0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers.

So far this season, England's six games have seen 27 yellow cards and that one red for Shandon. Only four of this season's 19 Premier League referees have a lower rate of fouls to tackles than England, the Doncaster-born officials awarding a foul for just under every second tackle.
