The Bees buzzed up to third position in the Greater London Womens Football League Division One North after a solid performance and victory at Luton Town Reserves over the weekend. The Bees went ahead early on and responded after the hosts levelled. Two second half goals secured the win.

Head Coach Will Blithing was very pleased with the final result from the team and the resulting movement on the league table. "We played some brilliant football and with results going our way we’ve managed to move up to third place," he said.

The Bees got off to a great start with quality football and secured a lead in the 23rd minute when a cross from Jasmine Williamson was finished by Ruby on the half volley. The home team scored an equaliser before half time after an attack straight down the centre of the pitch. There was a mistake by The Bees at the back and Luton were level.

Both teams fought for a lead, to take the win, and at 67 minutes, it was another goal for Brentford as Kasey fed a low hard cross to the back post for Cheyenne to score taking Brentford up 2-1. Brentford further locked in their win when a free kick was won. It was taken by Kasey and Jasmine W followed the strike with a shot just off the underside of the bar, securing a 3-1 lead and victory.

Between the goals, Brentford played some excellent football, moving the ball well between players and constantly switching the play and picking pockets to then go forward and create chances. Luton had some good spells in the game where they looked dangerous, but ultimately they were matched with some good defending from the back four and some brilliant saves from Sophie in goal.
