Wraynel, who joined Neil MacFarlane’s side from Barnet in the summer of 2020, has made 25 appearances for the B Team this season and netted on two occasions. His first goal came against Huddersfield Town B back in December last year, and he followed that up with a stunning effort in the 2-0 win over Charlton Athletic in March.

The 19-year-old has been a regular figure for the young Bees this season and has helped the side to some impressive periods where they have remained unbeaten for prolonged spells. He played a role in the side that went nine matches without defeat throughout March and into April.

Discussing Wraynel’s contract extension, Brentford B Head Coach Neil MacFarlane said: “We’re pleased that Wraynel will be staying with us for another season. He came to us from Barnet, and he has 100 per cent made strides and improvements both technically and tactically since he came to the Club. He’s been a valuable member of the group and for him it’s now about forcing his way into the starting XI in the B Team regularly with the aim to keep on improving.

“If he continues to work hard and keep improving then I think he will be even further on in his development.”
