Along with Viborg, the Danish side have been in relentless form this season and they have already secured promotion to the top tier of Danish football.

Their final match of the season saw them win 2-1 with first half goals from Magnus Mattson and Nicolai Vallys. Their opponents pulled a goal back shortly after the hour mark but Silkeborg held out for the win. Patrik missed the final game having picked up an injury which had also kept him out of their previous fixture.

Of course, the young goalkeeper also had a hand in the title win for Viborg having spent the first half of the season there. A January switch to fellow Danish First Division side Silkeborg has seen the youngster continue his fine form to run Viborg close.

Patrik will now look towards international duty for Iceland as the side play friendly matches next month.
