For the third time in less than a month, AFC Bournemouth are next up for Brentford. The teams met last night in a Sky Bet Championship Play-Off Semi-Final First Leg. Bournemouth took the spoils on the south coast, winning 1-0, and the Second Leg will decide the tie. That match will be played in our new stadium on Saturday, 22 May, at 12.30pm.

This will be the fourth meeting between the sides this season, with Brentford winning the first two. The Bees won home and away in the regular Championship season. Henrik Dalsgaard and Tariqe Fosu got the goals as Brentford came from behind to win the league match in West London in late 2020. Bryan Mbeumo scored the only goal as Brentford beat Bournemouth in the return game in mid-April. Bournemouth got their win last night thanks to a second half goal from Arnaut Danjuma.

The Semi-Final tie will be decided on Saturday. If the aggregate score is level after 90 minutes, extra-time will be played. If still level, penalties will decide who progresses to the Play-Off Final at Wembley. There is no away goals rule.

The other tie also started last night and Swansea City have the advantage. They beat Barnsley 1-0 in Yorkshire with Andre Ayew scoring the only goal. That tie will also be decided on Saturday and the two winners will meet on 29 May.

Brentford fans have been able to secure their spot at the match. Those who froze their Season Tickets and have more than 3,000 Ticket Access Points could buy earlier this week. All other frozen Season Ticket Holders were placed in a ballot and those selected can buy now. Full information can be seen here.

The match will also be live on Sky Sports. Fans who do not have Sky Sports can access the game online via Now TV. Fans can pay for one-day access, which would also give them the ability to watch that day's other live sport. Alternatively there are longer passes available. See more here.
