The young Bees were due to take on a Portsmouth XI, but unfortunately that match was cancelled, and Neil MacFarlane’s side will instead head to the north west.

The side are on a fantastic run of form of late as they near the end of their 2020/21 campaign. They’ll take on Salford looking to make it 10 matches unbeaten following recent wins over the likes of a Chelmsford City XI and Ebbsfleet United.

Salford’s Development Squad have been competing in the Central League this season, though that campaign was brought to an early conclusion following a mutual agreement between the competing clubs. The side have claimed wins over the likes of Scunthorpe United and Grimsby Town in recent weeks, and they too will be looking for strong end to their season.

Having welcomed back the likes of Kane O’Connor and Ben Hockenhull against Chelmsford, the young Bees are getting more bodies back from injury. Kane and Ben could get more minutes against Salford, whilst Aaron Pressley could make a return after picking up a knock against Ebbsfleet. The game will still come too soon for the likes of Tristan Crama and Paris Maghoma, who have both stepped up their recoveries in training recently.

Talking about the good run of form, Brentford B Head Coach Neil MacFarlane said: “We’ve had players coming back in the last few months, including the likes of Mads Bidstrup as well as Kane and Ben.

“Having spoken to the group at the end of the Chelmsford game I said that we need to continue this rich vein of form, but we’ve got to keep improving as well and continue to strive to be better. We’ve got a few games left this season and we need to keep up the consistency and keep striving for perfection.”

We will provide live coverage of the match on Tuesday as the side aim for another positive result.
