The winners of the 2021 EFL Awards have been revealed as the continued efforts and achievements of Clubs, players and individuals were recognised. The winners were announced on Thursday, 29 April, live on Sky Sports. Brentford's Ivan Toney was named in the Sky Bet Championship Team of the Season but missed out on the Player of the Season award. Peterborough United’s Jonson Clarke-Harris was awarded the Sky Bet League One Player of the Season. The Posh are on the brink of promotion to the Championship, with his 29 goals leading the division. Clarke-Harris pipped Sunderland AFC’s Charlie Wyke and Hull City’s George Honeyman to the award.
Another sharpshooter in Sky Bet League Two claimed the accolade of Player of the Season, as Paul Mullin’s 29 goals have given Cambridge United one eye on promotion to League One with just two games remaining. Elsewhere, Reading’s Michael Olise was named the EA Sports Young Player of the Season, whilst Doncaster Rovers midfielder James Coppinger claimed the prestigious Sir Tom Finney award. Dean Lewington was honoured with the Screwfix Moment of the Season after making his 800th appearance for MK Dons.
