The Coventry defender, on loan from Norwich City, provided an assist, as well as eight key passes and 21 interceptions as The Sky Blues moved clear of the relegation battle to confirm their Championship future with a run of four wins from seven games in April.

David's April saw him keep five clean sheets and concede just twice. The Bees began the month with a 1-1 draw at Huddersfield Town before three consecutive clean sheets against Birmingham City, Preston North End and Millwall. The final three matches of the month saw David collect another couple of clean sheets as the side impressed with wins over Bournemouth and Rotherham United, following a 1-1 draw at home to Cardiff City.

David came third in the fans' vote behind McCallum and QPR forward Lyndon Dykes.
